Nos dirigimos por ruta Provincial Nº 3 hacia el Norte, dejando atrás la Ciudad Capital de San Luis, y a nuestra derecha el cordón Central de las Sierras de San Luis generoso con su paisaje.
We back went by Provincial route Nº 3 towards the North, leaving the Capital City of San Luis, and to our right the Central cord of the Mountain ranges of San generous Luis with its landscape.
El pueblo cuenta con una plaza principal, centro cívico, iglesia, sala de primeros auxilios y un establecimiento escolar. En lo que sería el "centro" las construcciones en su mayoría datan de fines del siglo XIX, y comienzos del siglo XX.

La ruta acceso al balneario del río y al dique, consta de una gran arboleda compuesta en su mayoría por viejos eucaliptus.
Las propiedades que están ambos lados de la carretera, son modernas construcciones destinadas a viviendas de fin de semana. De vez en cuando vemos viejas plantaciones de olivos, las que por muchas décadas caracterizaron la zona por su óptima producción.
The route access to the bath of the river and the dock, consists of great woods composed in its majority by old eucaliptus. The properties that are both sides of the highway, are modern constructions destined to weekend houses. From time to time we see old plantations of olive trees, those that by many decades characterized the zone by their optimal production.
A tan solo 3 Km de la localidad de Nogolí, se llega al pintoresco río que pertenece a la vertiente occidental de la Sierra de San Luis.

En toda la extensión de la sierra y en sus numerosas quebradas se encuentran manantiales que dan origen a muchos arroyos, entre ellos figura el Nogolí, cuyas fuentes están en la parte oriental del macizo
principal.
Como todos los ríos de esta localidad, corre de forma encajonado entre grandes rocas, desciende por quebradas, luego de recorrer el interior serrano.
A lo largo de su recorrido se nutre de innumerables vertientes, dando característica pureza a sus aguas claras, que son aprovechadas en una planta de extracción y embotellamiento de agua mineral.
Este es un río corto que nace en las altas cumbres a 5 Km al sur de Carolina, próximo a la Puerta de Gasparillo.
En el cerro Blanco se dividen las aguas; las que caen al este, van al río Grande y las que corren al oeste alimentan las corrientes que por los Bayos vienen a formar el río de los Molles.
Al cruzar la sierra cambia el nombre al de río de la Quebrada y Saladas. El río de los Molles recibe como afluente el arroyo de los Pantanos Negros que nace en la falda del Monigote y se le une en la
Laguna Brava.
Luego continúa hasta la boca de la Quebrada de Nogolí donde se le juntan el arroyo Chico.
Este arroyo recoge las aguas que bajan al norte de la cuesta de Pancanta y de las Quebradas de la Cuesta de Barroso.Cuando en la sierra caen abundantes lluvias, el río Nogolí crece de pronto y se precipita como un torrente, arrastrando enormes peñascos, grandes árboles y cuanto encuentre a su paso.
Sus desagües llegan a la Cañada San Jerónimo, unos 20 Km al sudeste de la Villa Nogolí.

In the White hill the waters are divided; those that they fall to the east, they go to the Grande river and those that they run to the west they feed the currents that by the Bay ones come to form the river of the Molles. When crossing the mountain range changes the name to the one of river of the Gorge and Salty. The river of the Molles receives like affluent the stream of the Black Marshes that is born in the skirt of the Monigote and it is united to him in Brave lagoon. Soon it continues until the mouth of the Gorge of Nogolí where they join the Small stream to him. This stream gathers the waters that lower to the north of the hill of Pancanta and of the Gorges of Cuesta de Barroso.Cuando in the mountain range abundant rains fall, the Nogolí river grows suddenly and it hurries like a torrent, dragging enormous rocky crags, great trees and whatever finds to its step. Their water-drainages arrive at the Gorge San Jerónimo, about 20 km to the Southeast of Villa Nogolí.
